This Nurse Residency Program is designed for new graduate nurses with less than one year of experience, specifically targeting a Winter 2027 start date in Geriatrics/Oncology. The program blends core clinical training with specialty-specific education, including quality and safety classes, simulation labs, one-on-one skills validation, hands-on learning with clinical mentors, and ongoing professional development. Residents will attend all quality and core curriculum classes, participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements. They will work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team and a licensed Registered Nurse, refining nursing knowledge and skills while managing clinical situations. Adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including licensure renewal, training, employee health screenings, time and attendance, dress code, patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration, is required.
