This Nurse Residency Program is designed for new graduate nurses with less than one year of experience who are looking to build a strong foundation for a successful nursing career. The program blends core clinical training with specialty-specific education, including quality and safety classes, simulation labs, one-on-one skills validation, hands-on learning with clinical mentors, and ongoing professional development. Residents will attend all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements. They will work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team and licensed Registered Nurses while refining their nursing knowledge and skills. Residents will actively participate in managing clinical situations, collect patient data, develop plans of care, provide treatments, record patient care, and delegate nursing care as appropriate, all under the direct supervision of a licensed RN. The program has a cohort start date of October 5th, and candidates must graduate prior to August 15th. The service line is Critical Care Services, located at Parkridge, Unit: ICU/Stepdown.
