Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a maternal and early childhood home visiting program that fosters long-term success for first-time parents and their babies, aiming to address systemic problems in the community. NFP, in conjunction with Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana, takes a holistic, whole-family approach to the fragmented social services industry. The program involves nurse home visits starting during pregnancy and continuing until the child is two years old. Nurse Home Visitors provide coaching and care to first-time expectant clients, developing therapeutic relationships and using concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing. They model client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches within a home visiting environment. The role requires maintaining the highest standards in clinical nursing practice and adherence to the NFP model, as well as the policies and procedures of NFP and Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. The Nurse Home Visitor will be part of a team that includes other Nurse Home Visitors and a Nurse Supervisor.
