About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for their Neuro Trauma ICU (NTICU) at CoxHealth South. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to provide direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. The role involves assessing patient conditions, performing diagnostic tests, initiating treatments, and assisting physicians with medical procedures. The critical care nurse will monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings. The NTICU team fosters a culture of acceptance and support for both patients and team members, providing hands-on experience with high acuity patients.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
RN license active in the state of Missouri
BLS must be obtained within 90 days
ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
Exhibits valuable time management skills
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Previous nursing experience
