About The Position

CoxHealth is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for their Neuro Trauma ICU (NTICU) at CoxHealth South. This full-time night shift position offers hands-on experience with high acuity patients in a team-centered environment focused on acceptance and support. The critical care nurse provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients, utilizing a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, performing diagnostic tests, initiating treatments, assisting physicians with medical procedures, and monitoring/adjusting specialized equipment. This role involves interpreting and recording electronic displays such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
RN license active in the state of Missouri.
BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate effective leadership abilities.
Exhibits valuable time management skills.
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Previous nursing experience.
