About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses to join their Cardiac Diagnostics Unit. This unit provides hands-on care and monitoring for patients undergoing stress testing, treadmill testing, tilt table testing, and cardiac monitoring. The role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on patients' lives while utilizing and enhancing clinical nursing skills in a specialized cardiac setting. Nurses will develop skills in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, tilt table testing, stress testing, treadmill testing, and patient assessment and education. The department is fast-paced, highly respected, and known for strong teamwork and collaboration with Echo Techs, CV Techs, and Cardiologists. The unit culture is built on collaboration, respect, and shared accountability, with leadership valuing staff input and encouraging participation in decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Active Indiana RN license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Experience as a nurse

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Additional life support certifications may be required based on department policies

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care and monitoring for patients undergoing stress testing, treadmill testing, tilt table testing, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Utilize and enhance clinical nursing skills in a specialized cardiac setting.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiovascular technologists, and echo technologists to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Share ideas, participate in decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform patient assessment and education.
