Registered Nurse - NICU - Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse - NICU will evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care. This role will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, triage patients, and perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice. The nurse will promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP certification
- Suicide Prevention Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Nice To Haves
- PALS and COAP preferred
