About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN). The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with Level 2 NICU experience being mandatory and Level 3 NICU experience preferred. The SCN cares for infants 32 weeks gestational age and above. Common patient conditions include CPAP and High Flow therapy, feeder grower infants, respiratory issues and Sepsis, and Hyperbilirubinemia. All IVs will be started by SCN nurses, with a certified neonatal PICC team available for specialized procedures. Charge nurses are responsible for managing the shift and attending high-risk deliveries, though they typically do not have a patient assignment. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are available to assist RNs with patient care duties. Cerner is the electronic health record system utilized. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Pediatricians are available in-house 24/7, along with respiratory therapy support. Nurses are not required to titrate drips.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
- Level 2 NICU experience (mandatory)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- BLS Certification

- Level 3 NICU experience
