About The Position
The Registered Nurse - NICU Full-Time Position involves evaluating assigned patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. This role assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs patient tests, and administers medications within the scope of practice. The nurse promotes patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care. The position requires a wide degree of creativity and latitude, typically reporting to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP certification
- Suicide Prevention Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Nice To Haves
- PALS and COAP preferred
Responsibilities
