RN - NICU Level IV
About The Position
This is a 75% FTE position for a Registered Nurse (RN) working 8/12 hour evening/night shifts, including every other weekend with a holiday rotation, at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. This role is part of a NICU expansion with multiple positions available. The NICU is a 26-bed unit that is a model for patient-and family-centered care, providing care for critically ill newborns, infants, and their families across the continuum of care from admission to discharge. The RN will care for infants requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services, including those with a wide variety of medical and surgical complexities.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire
- NRP within 6 months
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Relevant RN Experience Preferred
- Relevant certification Preferred
