About The Position

The Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for each patient assigned to their care, regardless of age, and is responsible for the patient’s care. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. The Newborn Delivery Team is a team of Registered Nurses who attend each delivery in L&D to provide resuscitation support and primary newborn care during the time of delivery through the first two hours of life. When necessary, this team is supported by in-house neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and partners with the NICU nursing staff.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Active Kentucky RN License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years previous experience in NICU, Newborn Nursery, or applicable Neonatal experience strongly preferred.
