This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department (for RN in Behavioral Health)
  • AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit (for Dialysis Department).
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (for Behavioral Health Unit).
