About The Position

Lahey Clinic is seeking an Experienced Critical Care Nurse for its new Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU). This role involves delivering state-of-the-art Neurocritical Care in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. The NCCU is a 9-bed unit specializing in acutely ill patients with life-threatening neurological conditions or neurological manifestations of systemic diseases. Nurses utilize advanced technologies for ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, targeted temperature management, osmotic therapy, and continuous renal replacement therapy, while also providing support to patients' families. The unit emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuing education, collaboration, and shared governance to ensure high-level nursing care with empathy and kindness.

Requirements

Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
BLS certification from American Heart Association
Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients according to Nursing Policy and Procedures.
Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the unit-specific competencies.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
ACLS certification from American Heart Association
1 year RN experience required
Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred
