Registered Nurse, Neuroscience IMC/PCU Stroke Unit, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Neuroscience IMC / PCU Stroke Team. This is a full-time day shift opportunity with newly increased nursing pay rates and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. RNs on this unit provide care to patients with neurologic conditions such as seizures, strokes, craniotomies, and neuromuscular emergencies. Training is available for those new to neuro, and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Clinical Nursing Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required (American Heart Association)
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
