About The Position
An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This unit provides an excellent opportunity to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. You will work with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. As a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, the unit frequently sees many acute and complex patients. Utilizing state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology, the team evaluates, diagnoses, and treats seizures. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nursing skills, talents, and compassion for the patient population.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting
- Current RN License (New York license only)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Telemetry experience required
- NIHSS certification
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Compassionate patient care delivery
Responsibilities
