About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) working a weekend day shift. The schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and one weekday shift. The facility is a NICOTINE FREE facility and requires testing for nicotine along with a drug screen with no exceptions. A flu vaccine is mandatory with no exceptions for religious or medical reasons. The nurse must be open to floating to other units and must work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract period. Experience in a Level IV/surgical NICU is required, with common diagnoses including CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension, as well as pre/peri/post-operative care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• PALS certification required.
• Experience in a Level IV/surgical NICU.
• Must pass nicotine and drug screening (nicotine-free facility).
• Must have flu vaccine (no exceptions).

Nice To Haves

• NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Work a weekend day shift schedule (Friday, Saturday + 1 weekday).
• Float to other units as needed.
• Work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract period.
• Administer care for patients with diagnoses such as CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension.
• Provide pre/peri/post-operative care for neonates.
