About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. This role demonstrates a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital.

Requirements

• One (1) year recent acute Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery and/or acute Medical/Surgical and/or Emergency Nursing experience required
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required
• Current CRNM registration required
• Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required
• SUCCESSFUL SCHEDULED and COMPLETION OF the Advanced Assessment Course when the opportunity to take the course is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer
• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)

Nice To Haves

• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred
