Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.) Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Bilingualism required (ability to understand and speak English/French).
  • The candidate must be able to understand and speak French at a proficiency level that allows them to sustain varied in-depth conversations with patients and families.
  • SUCCESSFUL SCHEDULE and COMPLETION and on-going renewal of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer required.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent NICU experience preferred or Acute Care experience required (up to 2 years of experience may be preferred/required).
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
