About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.
Requirements
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Bilingualism required (ability to understand and speak English/French).
- The candidate must be able to understand and speak French at a proficiency level that allows them to sustain varied in-depth conversations with patients and families.
- Successful completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer required.
Nice To Haves
- Recent Labour/Delivery/Recovery nursing experience or one (1) year combined mother-baby care experience required.
- Recent Operating Room nursing experience preferred.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Successful completion of the AORN Periop 101 on-line course or equivalent Operating Room training/experience is preferred.
