About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Requirements

  • Post-graduate course in ICU nursing or equivalent experience required.
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Skills assessment may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
