About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (MS/Tele), specifically within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that operates on a rotating day/night schedule (36 hours/week). The rotation occurs every 4 weeks, meaning the traveler will work the same shift for four consecutive weeks before switching to the opposite shift for the next four weeks. This unit primarily cares for patients with active oncology diagnoses or treatments, including solid tumors and hematology. It also admits patients for oncology workups or those with a history of cancer admitted for other reasons such as surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, abnormal labs, or pneumonia. Additionally, patients without an oncology diagnosis but admitted for the aforementioned reasons will be treated on this unit. A unique aspect of this unit is that it serves inmates from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC), requiring it to be a locked unit with access controlled by a Corrections Officer.
