About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our MedSurg/Telemetry (6W Unit) in Chesapeake, VA. This is a fast-paced, telemetry-monitored floor with mixed acuity, focusing on neurology and stroke patients. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including nights, weekdays, every other weekend, holidays, and floating within the contract as needed. We offer competitive compensation with shift differentials and require candidates to have a clean credentialing history.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years MedSurg/Tele experience.
- Travel experience required.
- BLS – American Heart Association.
- ACLS – American Heart Association.
- NIHSS – required.
- Compact or VA RN license – must be in hand (no pending or temporary licenses).
- EPIC experience required.
- IV start competency.
- Telemetry interpretation.
- Neurology/stroke patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for MedSurg/Telemetry patients with a focus on neurology and stroke.
- Work on a fast-paced, telemetry-monitored floor with mixed acuity.
- Float to similar units as needed.
- Provide holiday coverage as required within the contract.
