About The Position

Coordinates total patient nursing care for patients, participated in-patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standard for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. This is a full-time position with a 12-hour day shift, working 72 hours per pay period from 7a-7:30p, requiring every other weekend and rotating holidays in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This role offers a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Registered Nurse (RN) works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. The RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a state accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license required.
  • Required to have Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Must maintain current nursing knowledge and BLS certification and required CEU’s for relicensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior employment experience in the appropriate clinical setting is preferred.
  • Pediatric, Mother Baby, Medical/ Surgical Nursing experience preferred.
  • Required to complete NRP certification within 3 months of orientation.
  • PALS certification will be required to be completed by end of orientation.
  • RN to be familiar with hospital and department policies and procedures, accepted methods of requisitioning ancillary department service work, and familiarity with the medical staff. This knowledge is normally acquired through 1-3 months of orientation time.
