About The Position

Make an impact as part of the Lankenau Medical Center Mother Baby Nursing Team! This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby unit. Main Line Health has been recognized among the very best by U.S. News & World Report for 2022-2023. The Mother Baby Labor Delivery Registered Nurse works within an Interdisciplinary Team, providing care and treatment to patients, which is integral to their overall experience. The mission is to provide patients with a superior patient experience through the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care. Main Line Health operates as a sophisticated community hospital with advanced medical technology and a qualified medical staff. The Labor Delivery and Post Partum staff handle over 2800 births per year, including a high-risk patient population. The unit includes 10 labor rooms, 28 post-partum rooms, a 12-bed APU, and 3 operating rooms. The nursing team collaborates with Physicians, Medical Residents, OB Technicians, and Lactation Consultants. Nurses are encouraged to develop and grow their careers through certifications or advanced nursing degrees (BSN, MSN, MBA, PhD, DNP) by utilizing the Tuition Reimbursement Program, eligible for up to $6,000 per year. Engagement is encouraged through hospital & system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, precepting new staff, and pursuing the Clinical Ladder program. Requirements

  • One year of recent acute care nurse experience required.
  • Mother Baby experience required.
  • PA RN license required.
  • RN Diploma, ASN required.
  • Must wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
  • NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and treatment to patients within the Mother Baby unit.
