Registered Nurse (RN) Mom/Baby. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231. Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:00pm – 7:00am. Mom/Baby Department highlights: Unit has been recently renovated, Level IV Maternal designation, Texas Ten Step member, Supportive, inclusive environment. Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
