About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Mom/Baby position at Texas Health Dallas is a full-time night shift role in a recently renovated unit that holds a Level IV Maternal designation and is a Texas Ten Step member. The department fosters a supportive and inclusive environment. Texas Health Dallas, a Magnet-designated hospital with over a half-century of service, is an 875-bed facility specializing in various areas including women's services. Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
