About The Position

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, as a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, effective, patient and resident-centered, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère Health policies, procedures and standards and with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. Your overall function will be to assist patients and residents and their loved ones to manage clinical conditions and transitions, and maximize their self-care, psychosocial, spiritual, communicative and interpretive abilities. You also act as a resource for members of the care team. For information purpose only, please note that the position is currently aligned with Mobile Team, subject to change.

Requirements

  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate
  • Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).
  • Skills and abilities to deal with death and dying, on an ongoing basis
  • Motivated towards professional growth and development
  • Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work within an interdisciplinary team
  • Able to work under pressure and to adapt to change
  • Intermediate Computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medicine/surgery, complex care, nephrology and/or rehabilitation care
  • Membership in Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
