This position is for a Registered Nurse within the Eating Disorders Program, specifically on the Inpatient unit, with a permanent part-time (0.6) status. The role involves supporting all levels of eating disorders programming and assisting with individual, family, and group clinical programming, including meal support and family-based interventions.

Requirements

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  • Current Certification of competence, College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
  • Current CPR Certification (Essential)
  • Excellent team work and interpersonal skills (Essential)
  • Knowledge and experience in the area of Eating Disorders (Essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills (Essential)

Nice To Haves

  • B.Sc. Nursing (Preferred)
  • Paediatric nursing experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in paediatric mental health (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing assessments and interventions for patients within the Eating Disorders Program
  • Provide psychoeducation to the patient, family and other health care providers regarding Eating Disorders
  • Participate in individual, family and group clinical programming
  • Offer clinical interventions and support, including intensive meal support, to patients and their families
  • Support teaching and research activities
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
  • Carry other responsibilities as assigned
