About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Ontario location. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. This role is responsible for ensuring continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The position also involves patient and family teaching and maintaining the role of patient advocate, aligning with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
