About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process, assessing patient and family learning needs, and implementing appropriate teaching strategies. The Registered Nurse will effectively communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, acting as a leader and partner within an interdisciplinary team. This position also requires using data to evaluate and promote optimal patient outcomes, embracing concepts that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and adapting care to specific patient populations with respect for privacy and appropriate communication styles. Other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered nurse diploma.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
  • Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.
  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
  • Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
