About The Position

SENTARA ALBEMARLE MEDICAL CENTER ELIZABETH CITY, NC REGISTERED NURSE - TRAVELER NIGHTS 14 WEEK Temp MEDICAL TELEMETRY $65 / hr 2 or more years of RECENT Medical Telemetry EXPERIENCE (see below for experience requirements) The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific specialty

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of RECENT Medical Telemetry EXPERIENCE
  • MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in TELEMETRY
  • MUST BE PROFICIENT IN READING RHYTHM STRIPS (TEST WILL BE GIVEN)
  • RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
  • Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Responsibilities
