About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical/Telemetry unit. This is a full-time night shift position. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment managing complex adult medical conditions. The unit emphasizes strong interdisciplinary collaboration, professional autonomy, and values bedside nursing expertise. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This includes coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and adherence to standards of professional performance such as ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess the clinical knowledge and skills required for specific clinical areas and meet any specialty-defined requirements. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing the overall care of patients. Requirements

  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
  • BLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire
  • Previous RN experience preferred
  • RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN

Responsibilities
