About The Position

UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical Telemetry has an outstanding opportunity for a Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse. This position works a mix of rotating day shifts and night shifts. Some weekend shift work will be required. We are a general medical unit with a full cardiac telemetry and rehabilitation program, offering 36 beds for patients. We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios. Our RNs work in close partnership with our physicians and our certified nursing assistants. We are proud to offer a breadth of training opportunities for our staff, including stroke training and advanced EKG training. We welcome new and experienced RNs to join our team - training will be provided to nurses who are transitioning into telemetry care for the first time. Requirements

  • Active BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based nursing services to an acutely ill patient population, including post-stroke patients
  • Monitor heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
  • Identify care needs
  • Assess and manage pain
  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect

Benefits

  • BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
  • Certification premium - $1.25/hour
  • Night premium - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend premium - $4.00/hour
  • Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour
