About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-surgical care and related patient diagnoses. Common Patient Diagnoses include: Abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Specialty Equipment used on the unit includes IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. The patient demographics are adults.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Travel experience is required.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- NURSYS Report for license verification.
- Active NY license & all active RN licenses.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-surgical care.
- Care for patients with related diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery).
- Operate specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
- Float between units as required.
