About The Position
Hedrick Medical Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit. We are a 21-bed unit, with the flexibility to care for up to 4 ICU-level patients as needed. Our team sees a broad range of patient cases, primarily adult populations. This is a Part Time Nights position, working from 7p-7a.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Missouri (or compact license).
- Less than 1 year Registered Nurse experience.
- Associate Degree
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process.
- Coordinate and implement the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
- Delegate appropriate tasks and provide supervision to other patient care staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure documentation and care practices comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency and maintain professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
- Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Delegates tasks appropriately.
- Identifies hospital resources.
- Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
- Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
