About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Medical/Surgical unit specializing in surgical trauma care. The unit manages complex and critical patient cases including spinal injuries and neuro trauma.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical or Trauma nursing
- Active BLS certification required
- Strong experience with EPIC EMR required
- Must be flexible to work assigned night shifts (no block scheduling)
- No RTO (Requested Time Off not permitted during assignment)
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a high-acuity surgical trauma population
- Manage patients with conditions such as gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing support techs, phlebotomists, unit secretaries, ED staff, and admitting nurses
- Participate in structured nurse-to-nurse handoff process
