About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical assignment in an acute care setting. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a specialized Neuro Unit, supporting patients recovering from surgical procedures and acute medical conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certifications required: AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Perform neurological assessments and support post-operative care for surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards
- Assist with mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall patient comfort
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed
