About The Position
This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical care within an Acute Care setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty, including previous inpatient nursing experience and proficiency in IV insertion/placement and IV antibiotic administration. The nurse will primarily care for infectious disease patients. While chemotherapy or oncology experience is not required, the position does have holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Previous inpatient nursing experience.
- Proficiency in IV insertion/placement.
- Proficiency in IV antibiotic administration.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Nice To Haves
- No chemotherapy or oncology experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical unit.
- Administer IV insertion/placement and IV antibiotic administration.
- Care for infectious disease patients.
- Work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
