About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and adaptable Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses (RN) to join a large acute care hospital offering multiple specialty pathways, including Oncology and Ortho-Trauma units. This role provides strong clinical growth opportunities within a high-performing, fully supported hospital environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required).
- Active RN license in Virginia or Compact RN license.
- BLS/BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
- Prior nursing experience required.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to work across specialty units.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and throughout each shift.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report clinical changes.
- Administer medications and carry out physician-ordered treatments.
- Provide direct bedside nursing care across diverse medical-surgical populations.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
- Participate in cross-training across multiple specialty units as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and care standards.
