About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse position in the Medical/Surgical unit, specializing in Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine. The shift is from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Floating to other units may be required. The unit has 56 beds and serves adult patients (18 years and older). Common diagnoses include cancer, hematology issues, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), diabetes, GI problems, abdominal pain, and dermatology conditions. Specialty equipment includes IV pumps, NG tubes, chest tubes, and specialty beds (sand beds).

Requirements

• Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in MS/Oncology and documents travel experience.
• Skills Checklist matching specialty (Med Surg / Oncology)
• Driver's licenses with address that matches demographics
• Current AHA BLS
• NIHSS
• Chemo Cert required
• NURSYS Report
• Licenses verification with ACTIVE NY License & ALL RN licenses.
• EMR Exp: EPIC

Nice To Haves

• Travel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with diagnoses including CA diagnosis, Oncology, Hematology, ESRD, Diabetes, GI, Abdominal Pain, Dermatology, and General Medicine.
• Administer care using equipment such as IV pumps, NG tubes, Chest tubes, and specialty beds (sand beds).
• Float to other units as required.
• Work the night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Document patient care and experiences in EPIC EMR.
