About The Position

Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231. Work environment: 23-bed trauma med surgical unit specialized in treating patients suffering from traumatic injuries. Work hours: Full Time Nights 36hrs/week (7p-7a) – rotating weekend and holidays.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma Nursing
• Associate's Degree Nursing
• One Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
• Cardiac Focused Care
• Management of various cardiac drips
