About The Position
This is a Medical Surgical Neuro position for night shifts, offering both 36 or 48-hour work week options. The role requires BLS & NIHSS certification and preferably CPI. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 and utilizes rapid response team activation. Epic charting is used. There is no on-call requirement, but floating to similar units may be necessary. Weekend coverage involves 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. The unit has 32 beds.
Requirements
- BLS & NIHSS required.
- 1 year of recent experience required.
- Must be able to work 36 or 48 hour shifts.
- Must be able to work weekends as needed (6 shifts within 6 weeks).
Nice To Haves
- CPI preferred.
- Accepts 1st time travelers.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit.
