Our department is a combination of medical/surgical and PCU. Our team cares for a variety of adult patients. Patient diagnosis includes but are not limited to Congestive Heart Failure, Chest Pain rule out ME, Abd pain, Diverticulitis, Pancreatitis, Pneumonia, post-op surgeries, Wounds, FLU, COVID, Weakness, Falls at Home. We have a 24-bed unit to care for patients with an average daily census of 10-12. We have a total of 4 PCU beds within the unit along with swing bed patients. We also have support staff that include hospitalists for our day shift team and nocturnist for our night shift team. Nursing skills gained: Great Unit to start out on as a Graduate Nurse or new to practice nurse. Requirements

• Requires 1 year RN experience.
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs lab draws.
