About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Psychiatry department at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The position is part-time, working nights from 7pm to 7:30am, with a rotation every third weekend and holiday rotation. The nurse will evaluate patients' physical and mental health, create and update personalized care plans, collaborate with the medical team on treatment adjustments, provide direct care, lead group therapy sessions, and monitor patient responses to treatment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
Registered Nurse experience
Psych experience

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' physical and mental health when they arrive and throughout their stay.
Create and update personalized care plans based on each patient's specific goals.
Meet with the medical team to adjust treatments as the patient’s condition changes.
Give direct care and lead/co-lead group therapy sessions.
Watch how patients respond to treatment and pivot the plan if something isn't working.
