Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of general nursing experience
• Active RN license in the state of LA required
• BLS CPR required

Nice To Haves

• ONS/OCN highly preferred
• Oncology/Infusion nursing experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical support to the Medical Oncologist
• Functions as a point person/coordinator of services for oncologists and oncology patients
• Promotes the smooth transition of patient care from entry into MBPCC system until completion of treatment and throughout follow-up process
• Assists designated physician(s) in a variety of professional and paraprofessional patient care activities as specified and requested
• Clinical support for Medical Oncologist
• Phone triage
• Specialized nursing care of oncology patients
• Maintains patients’ EMR
• Provides supervision for and delegations of duties to LPNs & Medical Assistants
