Riley Hospital is excited to announce the upcoming opening of our brand-new Pediatric Behavioral Health (BH) Unit, set to debut in the summer of 2026! This innovative, 11-bed specialized unit will provide comprehensive care for children and teens with complex mental and medical health needs. As a vital member of this pioneering team, you will help launch a state-of-the-art facility that seamlessly integrates psychiatric treatment with medical care. Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • At least 1 year of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experienced RNs with inpatient med surg and/or psychiatric backgrounds are preferred.
  • Passionate caregivers dedicated to making a difference in children’s lives.
  • Team players ready to embrace a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for children and teens with complex mental and medical health needs.
  • Integrate psychiatric treatment with medical care.
  • Deliver holistic, integrated care including IV meds, G-tubes, wound care, or cyclic vomiting.
  • Implement structured psychiatric programs including creative therapies, social work, and virtual activities.
