About The Position
The Registered Nurse Med/Surg position involves providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, utilizing the nursing process.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU required.
- Experience with EMR systems, Cerner or EPIC preferred.
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of tele strips every 4 hours.
- Capability to perform wound care, trach care, and IV line management.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
- Assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient comfort and safety.
