About The Position

This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a variety of units, including medical-surgical, trauma, neurosciences, oncology, orthopedic, and urology settings. The registered nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and executing physician orders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in MedSurg and/or ICU settings.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Cerner or EPIC).
• BLS
• NIHSS

• Chemo administration (if certified)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-6, adjusting care based on patient acuity.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including turning patients and providing personal hygiene care.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Trauma/surgical experience, wound care, management of chest tubes, NGT, IV skills
• IV starts, trach care, PEG tube management, wound care
• Chemo administration (if certified), trach care, chest tubes
• PCA pumps, wound care, dressing changes
• Wound vac management, dressing changes, IV starts
