About The Position

This is a Part Time Nights position for a Registered Nurse on the 4 West unit. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. The Registered Nurse utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to create a care plan for each patient, considering their physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The position also includes supervising and delegating tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care. Competence in dealing with age-related needs of specific patient populations served in the nursing unit is required. The RN works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services and clinical care in accordance with the standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire

High School Diploma or GED, HS Diploma/GED only required if Nursing Diploma Graduate
