This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Intermediate Care department at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI, on a Full-Time, Days schedule.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of compassionate, direct nursing care by applying clinical expertise and organizational best practices to ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality treatment.
- Drive the implementation and continuous monitoring of personalized care plans, adjusting interventions in real-time to meet the evolving needs of your patients.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams as the primary point of contact, ensuring a seamless flow of communication across all specialties for a holistic healing experience.
- Champion the patient’s journey from admission to recovery by proactively managing discharge planning and transitions of care with the broader healthcare team.
- Advocate for patient safety and progress by precisely documenting clinical conditions and executing care orders that directly impact recovery milestones.
